In recent years, online blogging sites such as Xanga or Blogger emerged to provide very public conduits for people's thoughts. Inevitably, they morphed into know-everything-about-me-and-my-friends sites like MySpace and Facebook that screamed for online attention not only via text but also pictures, video, bulletin boards, friends' lists, email, online gifts, even throwing sheep at others. It's a virtual deluge of sensory input designed to convey one's entire life to the world.
