When Pastor Mark asked me if I would be one of the guest preachers during his paternity leave, as if to make it more enticing, he added “it would be a continuation on the Old Testament series”.
In November, 2009, I completed my first marathon, and managed to run it fast enough to qualify for the Boston Marathon! In my previous post, I talked about my secret dream, and I am happy to say that I have accomplished that dream with a 3:25h time. It was well within 3:30h time I needed to qualify for Boston.
A friend of mine, Grace, e-mailed me to see how I was, and my response to her ended up being a lot more convoluted than her initial question, so it became the basis of my next blog.Let this be a lesson to my friends who innocently ask me a seemingly innocuous question, perhaps even attempting to just making a conversation, that there is a risk that I will actually give you a much longer response than you bargained for. ;-)
I am now in full training mode for the Philly Marathon on Nov 22nd. I'm also trying to run the required 9 races with the NY Road Runners so I can automatically qualify for the NYC Marathon in November of 2010! If I'm still running after that, I'm thinking of Chicago Marathon in 2011.
